I agree with the others that depression is a se of the dx - I've been on antidepressants and sleeping tablets since half way through chemo (February) and didn't start Tamoxifen til June - though I've come off it for a while to see if flushes improve. Re: Tamoxifen - depression & anxiety

Butterfly x  i think its irresponsible for anyone to say hands down that a diagnosis is why someone has anxiety or depression and that in no way its related to tamoxifen....... all you can say is you havent experienced it with that medicinei was on one oral cancer med before tamoxifen.... some inhibitor.. known to increase risk of osteoporis... having strong bones i wasnt worried.. i didnt get that far.. the joint pain in my wrists , ankles, feet.. made it impossible to continuenow im on tamoxifen and i CLEARY have anxiety and sometimes low grade depression from it..... i did not have this on the other oral medicine...... so i can compare......  and i was not anxious or depressed badly in chemo, radiation ....   my heart races.. adrenalin. I personally had no problems at all on Tamoxifen, but know of quite a few that have.
