Combining tretinoin and adapalene I switched from Differin to Retin-A several months ago, so far I'm happy with texture improvements, but the effect on acne is much less satisfying. I use it every 3rd night (about 3 times a week) and I buffer with a moisturizer.

I can only offer you anecdotal evidence but here’s what happened with me:Pores where clearer, acne was gone, skin just generally looked good. What struck me the most is how 'neither treatment reached significance at month 3'. I decided to use both as apparently they work on different receptors so I want to get the best of both worlds.So far it has been working great although ive heard that the "purge" on tret only happens once you are two to three months in so i will have to see. Tretinoin VS Adapalene? Neither did low doses of Tretinoin. Also, Statistical significance (when results are strongly different than 0) was reached only at month 6. Earlier studies (dated back to the 90s) also showed similar finding. My skin is the opposite.
